At the Tulsa Institute, our goal is training dentists in “Everyday Surgery for Everyday Dentistry”. In 2009 alone, dentists from all over the country came to train with us in Tulsa. They came from California to New York, Wisconsin to Texas… even Puerto Rico! Here’s an overview of our courses:

Track 1 Course Description: Managing extraction sites is one of the most critical skills a dentist can possess in the 21st century. Whether for a fixed bridge or a dental implant, general dentists (or any doctor performing the extraction) are in the best position to properly, predictably, and successfully GROW BONE!
Track 2 Course Description: Gingival recession is one one of the most undiagnosed and untreated conditions in the general dental practice. Most patients are not excited about the prospect of have tissue harvested from the roofs of their mouths and most general dentists are unsure about how to do it. Vertical Translation is a root coverage technique that allows you to “just say NO” to the palate. You you learn flap design and suturing techniques that allow you to achieve predictable root coverage with allograft materials.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This Hands-On course will show you diagnosis and treatment options for the soft tissue challenges that you see in your practice on a daily basis. These include gingival recession, exposed crown margins, biologic width impingements, uneven gingival margins, and the gummy smile.
This course will enable you to successfully diagnosis and perform esthetic crown lengthening and management of margin recession.
All Participants will perform soft tissue procedures from incision design to final suturing on pig jaws.
